A few weeks ago North, Alan, and I headed to West Virginia to visit with Uncle Adam, Aunt Angie, Connor, Madi, and Clay and Nana and Grandad at a half-way point to celebrate Nana's birthday and spend some time together as a family.
We had lots of adventures on our weekend in West Virginia. During the weekend of our visit, the town was having a "children's day" celebration which North, Connor, Madi, and Clay loved. The kids got goodie bags with clown noses and hard hats and also got to eat snow cones.
North also got a karate kid headband, made for him by Alan, that he wore for the duration of the weekend.
There were sand boxes to play in...
They also got to see trains at the local model train club meeting space...
And ride the "PRT" a small transportation system used in the town.
We all stayed at the same hotel and North enjoyed getting to play in the pool. He borrowed an inner-tube from his Cousin clay and loved getting to kick around the pool all by himself.
Saturday evening the girls got pedicures and manicures. There was even a small princess chair for Madi.
Afterwords we all grabbed dinner at a local Hibachi grill.
The kids (and adults) enjoyed watching the food prepared table-side.
North loved the noodles.
And the kids loved the koi pond.
Saturday evening we celebrated Nana's birthday. North enjoyed eating cake and ice-cream.
We had a great time. North loved getting to hang out with his cousins.
