Pulling up!

I realized that North has been pulling up for a little while now (1-2 weeks maybe?) and I forgot to note it in the blog. Here are a couple of pictures of him pulling up on his favorite toy of the moment--the piano from grandma and grandpa.

Today grandma and grandpa got to see his new moves in action. They both had the day off and so drove to Bloomington and picked North up from daycare and took me out to lunch. We attempted to go to Panera but there were no seats so instead we headed to the neighboring Steak-n-Shake. North was pleased with the decision.


North had a great time with grandma and grandpa.

Making Valentines

For Valentine's day North helped us to make some cards with his wonderful finger painting abilities. So fun.

Batbaby

they make the coolest clothes for babies. seriously. Batman shirt with detachable velcro cape. So it's a little big...he'll grow into it.

Change change change..

North's eyes change a little more each day. So we wanted be sure to have some pictures of them before they change completely. Here's what they look like now. The brown is slowly creeping out from the pupils--soon it will take over all of the gray.
Also, he just got another tooth breaking through his gums. This one is his left maxillary canine (cuspid). It seems the right will be popping through soon as well since it's looking swollen and blistery at the moment. Our little count Northula will soon have both of his vampire fangs.

Playground!

Last Saturday North took his first trip to play on a playground. He's been to Deming Park lots of times but always just to walk the dog. This Saturday was unseasonably warm and we were there early and so having the dog with us wasn't a problem for the playground. North loved it!


And of course we had to snap a picture of North with the Deming colt.

8 months!

Today North is 8 months' old!
And crawling!
And playing toy drums!
And jabbering!
And dancing!

Baby Bowl!

Sunday marked North's first Super Bowl! And North's first Super Bowl party!

Snow days!

Last week we had so much snow!
And North got to play in it for just a bit.

North and Alan. And some random neighborhood dog also out enjoying the flurries.

Inside, we let him get a little bit more up close and personal with the snow.

Which of course he wanted to eat.

And then got mad when it was so cold.

And then he wanted to play with it some more.

And then he got upset about the coldness again.
