Bonding with Baby Quorra

North is an angel of a big brother so far--he loves to "pet" Quorra's head and sing her sweet songs (both real and made up).  Today, in fact, he sang her to sleep for a moment with his "wolf song".  He's a fantastic little helper to have around.  Here are some photos from the last few days.

Brave enough to hold her (while sitting on my lap--thus making it hard to get a picture).

Learning to skate!

Last weekend we had some beautiful weather in Virginia and took the opportunity to let North break in his skates on the pavement. There were a few minor spills but overall he did fantastic.

With Alan back in Indiana we also opted for some down-time just hanging out at home (watching Transformers and playing Captain America).

Thanks Nancy!

A few days ago we got a great surprise in our mail! A care package from Nana Nancy for North and Edith! North was through the roof with excitement over the special treats and toys she mailed to him. In fact, we now daily have races between the cars toys that she sent.

And Edith loves her cozy pink blanket (which matches North's!)

That same day North also decided to start eating his chocolate bunny. It was quite the process as he selected which bits should be consumed first.

Thumbs up!

Becoming a Fantastic Big Brother

North has been great during baby Quorra's first week home. He's great at snuggling her, popping her pacifier back in when she drops it, and even gave her a bottle of pumped milk.

Snuggling up.

Such a great kid!

Easter Sunday!

North had a great Easter--the Easter bunny stopped by and hid all of his dyed eggs (which he referred to as "dead" eggs--I don't think he understood my use of the word "dye") as well as some plastic eggs filled with candy. He also got an Easter basket full of some of the toys he'd been wanting and a giant chocolate bunny that he's thoroughly enjoying eating up.

And opening up the plastic ones to get all of the candy out

Breaking into his basket

Which had some star wars action figures...

...And Phineus and Ferb toys

By far the biggest hit were the punching balloons (he named the blue one "Edward" and sang numerous songs about it throughout the day)

Happy Easter!

Gift from Edith

On Saturday, Edith's first morning home, she gave North his first present from her. A model train set.

North gave her lots of thank you kisses

Last evening of Grandma and Grandpa's visit

On Good Friday baby Edith was able to come home from the hospital. Grandma and Grandpa stayed one last evening with us before heading back to Indiana. North loved his time with Ender--he misses her dearly.
