Over the past few days we've gotten to spend some time with our great friends Sam, Levi, and Lincoln. Nothing better for a case of homesickness for Indiana than getting to spend some time with some of the people from Indiana that we love most. It was wonderful seeing them and we miss them already!
North enjoyed getting to show Lincoln the fountain at Fairfax Corner!
The both got soaked!
We stopped by Pinkberry where North and Linc attempted to pick the rocks off the floor. They were quite unsuccessful but had fun.
North also loved visiting Udvar-Hazy with Lincoln.
Tapas!
And Sam brought the boys bubble guns! They were a huge hit!

Jeremy and Carrie tie the knot!
Last weekend we headed to Manhattan to see our great friends Jeremy and Carrie get married in Central Park! It was a beautiful ceremony and we were so happy to get to be part of the festivities. It was a fabulous weekend with our good friends and we enjoyed our time there immensely.
While there, we stayed at the swanky W hotel downtown. Our room overlooked the world trade center site -- which was a rather humbling view of the city. North loved spending time on the window seat looking out over the city.
Ready for a day on the town...
Breakfast stroll to the Hudson where we looked out on the Statues of Liberty, Ellis Island, and some great skyline.
And North enjoyed playing on the park benches
North had his first NYC subway ride!
And enjoyed seeing Grand Central Station. We explored a bit with Jeremy, Carrie, and Mila, got a great lunch, and North and Mila played and played. Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding!
North gussied up!
Short nap in a taxi. North found taxis the best places for sleep while on our trip.
The Clarke family! It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony in Belvedere castle. We 3 Milner's got the great honor of holding the 3 rings. North loved getting to give Mila hers!
Signing the certificate at dinner after the wedding - Alan and I got to be the witnesses!
Hotel lobby with it's crazy lighted ceiling.
Hanging out on the patio.
The next day we met the newlyweds and Mila for a visit to Battery Park. North and Mila loved playing in the fountain on the hot day.
And even convinced Jeremy to join in the fun.It was a fabulous weekend and it was hard to head back home -- North was great in the car though.

Milner Family West Virginia Trip!
A few weeks ago North, Alan, and I headed to West Virginia to visit with Uncle Adam, Aunt Angie, Connor, Madi, and Clay and Nana and Grandad at a half-way point to celebrate Nana's birthday and spend some time together as a family.
We had lots of adventures on our weekend in West Virginia. During the weekend of our visit, the town was having a "children's day" celebration which North, Connor, Madi, and Clay loved. The kids got goodie bags with clown noses and hard hats and also got to eat snow cones.
North also got a karate kid headband, made for him by Alan, that he wore for the duration of the weekend.
There were sand boxes to play in...
They also got to see trains at the local model train club meeting space...
And ride the "PRT" a small transportation system used in the town.
We all stayed at the same hotel and North enjoyed getting to play in the pool. He borrowed an inner-tube from his Cousin clay and loved getting to kick around the pool all by himself.
Saturday evening the girls got pedicures and manicures. There was even a small princess chair for Madi.
Afterwords we all grabbed dinner at a local Hibachi grill.
The kids (and adults) enjoyed watching the food prepared table-side.
North loved the noodles.
And the kids loved the koi pond.
Saturday evening we celebrated Nana's birthday. North enjoyed eating cake and ice-cream.
We had a great time. North loved getting to hang out with his cousins.
