It's been a while since I've updated the blog. Here are some pictures of the fun we've been having around home.
Since the rental house is all hard wood North has taken to finding rugs strewn about the house and rolling around on them. I think he enjoys the softness and texture. It's pretty hilarious when he does it.
Another favorite at-home activity is to find the cabinet where the spare burner dishes are stored (it's not yet child-proof) and to grab the burner dishes out to wear as sleeves while parading through the house. He does this at least once a day.
He also loves to eat Cinnamon Chex. Eating Cinnamon Chex it turns out results in the phenomenon of "cinna-beard" as Alan and I call it. North routinely looks as though he's sporting a 5 o'clock shadow made entirely of cinnamon.
A favorite toy, for a while now, has been any cell phone he can lay his grabby little hands on. We finally broke down and bought him a toy cell phone that looks like the real thing (but doesn't allow him to actually make calls). He loves it and can regularly be found chatting on it.
Another favorite Bloomington activity is the Bloomington Farmer's Market. We love shopping there and try to make it out any Saturday that we are in town.
North's favorite aspect of the market, other than snacking on fresh fruit and kettle corn while riding around in his stroller, is that we let him play in the fountain with all of the other kids when we are done shopping. Here are some photos of him splashing around.
Another favorite place of North's to splash around in Bloomington is the Limestone Lagoon baby swim area at Bryan Park. It's definitely been a favorite Bloomington place this summer.
In fact, Bryan Park in general has been a favorite place this summer.
