Meet Me in St. Louis
Last weekend we were able to meet up with good friends Jeremy & Carrie & Mila (& Sam briefly) in St. Louis.
We had a wonderful time together exploring our hotel, checking out the zoo, City Museum, and Arch.
Heading out of town--stopped by grandma & grandpa's to drop off Ender for the weekend.
On the first night we all had dinner then the guys headed out to see Frightened Rabbit while Carrie, North, Mila, and I hung out at the hotel. Both kids had tons of energy and enjoyed being in a new place.
Carrie thought to bring new fun toys -- including a glow stick! The kids loved it!

North made monkey sounds and movements to the gorillas.
Then we grabbed some lunch and headed to the City Museum
which is the weirdest, coolest place. We all had an amazing time.
Entrance to the museum and tunnels
Mila and North sliding on the whale
petting a seal
exploring the caves and hidden walkways
I cannot describe how fun Mila and North thought sliding on this turtle in one of the tunnels was.
Carrie, Mila, and Jeremy
Alan and North in a tunnel
Jeremy in a tunnel--with North peeking out
Playing with a piano
sumo wrestling
Slides and ramps and fun
More secret tunnels
and MORE tunnels
Mila got to perform in the circus show!
North climbing a beluga
and riding an underwater, zebra-striped tiger
Mila joined in tooChecking out the fish at the wishing well
Having fun in the ball pit
Our last day there we stopped by the Arch (or gray rainbow as North called it) before heading home

Random spring adventures...
It's been a while since my last post--we've been busy, bouncing around here and there to spend time with friends, hanging out around home, and making important life decisions. And most of it, totally undocumented by camera--such is life.
But some of it is (phone cameras are pretty handy) and so I'll share what I've got.
First up: Important Life Decisions - we are moving to Washington, DC (well, Northern VA just outside of DC)! I got a job offer, Alan has also had an offer fall into place, and the time just seems right for a new adventure. Hard decision, full of lots of heartache over the increased distance we will have between ourselves and our loved ones but, both Alan and I feel it's for the best long-term. We go out in a week and a half to scope out apartments and daycare facilities...wish us luck!
With that knowledge, we've thrown ourselves in full force to make the most of our remaining month or 2 in Indiana by spending as much time as we can with our friends and family and just enjoying the town of Bloomington. It's been a great place to live and work and we will miss being here.
