Random spring adventures...

It's been a while since my last post--we've been busy, bouncing around here and there to spend time with friends, hanging out around home, and making important life decisions. And most of it, totally undocumented by camera--such is life.
But some of it is (phone cameras are pretty handy) and so I'll share what I've got.

First up: Important Life Decisions - we are moving to Washington, DC (well, Northern VA just outside of DC)! I got a job offer, Alan has also had an offer fall into place, and the time just seems right for a new adventure. Hard decision, full of lots of heartache over the increased distance we will have between ourselves and our loved ones but, both Alan and I feel it's for the best long-term. We go out in a week and a half to scope out apartments and daycare facilities...wish us luck!

With that knowledge, we've thrown ourselves in full force to make the most of our remaining month or 2 in Indiana by spending as much time as we can with our friends and family and just enjoying the town of Bloomington. It's been a great place to live and work and we will miss being here.

Some recent adventures include:

Okonomiyaki at James's house (North who is a bit less adventurous in his eating, ate Chicken McNuggets).

The McGranahan's Tapas Party.

Attending the carnival at Templeton (Max's Elementary School) where North got to play a giant Xylophone

Taking a Home-Brew class at Clabber Girl

Black Cat (Alan's band) playing

Hanging out with Sam, Levi, Lincoln, and Angelia

Hanging out with daycare friends like Nathan

Spotting a rainbow in Bloomington

Eating a Push-Up (given to North by a business owner in downtown Bloomington)--he LOVES them

And spending time at home (including snuggling up with the new blanket Aunt Terri made North--thanks Aunt Terry!)

Well who doesn't love push ups?! They're Grrrrreat!

Moving to D.C.??? Wow! That is exciting! I did a travel nursing assignment out there a couple of years ago and it was amazing! Shawn and I are moving this summer too, to Texas. Enjoy the new adventure!
